Virginia Andrade
Virginia Andrade was born in Southern California.  Her developing years were in the Los Angeles area where she began her art instruction. Her professional career was launched after moving to San Diego in 1957. Andrade continued her advanced studies in art  and after exhibiting there for many years, relocated to Los Angeles in 1978. In 1990 the Andrades’, Richard and Virginia moved to the small town of Grants Pass in Southern Oregon.

Artist Statement
I am an abstract painter motivated by the results of mixing techniques and mediums. I am always seeking the surprise, to witness that something I have never seen before. This search for the new, informs the work.  It is not my intention to develop subject matter; I seek to put forth the gesture, the movement and the color that will excite me and the viewer.
